GRID DRAWING, IT'S MERITS AND DEMERITS.

Since ancient times of Egyptians, artists have using the grid method as a drawing tool to improve accuracy. They used this method by dipping a string in red dye,and placing it against the drawing surfaces.

Grid drawing is a drawing technique, that will help you to improve your accuracy, without dealing with the development of your freehand drawing.

The grid drawing basically starts with, placing a grid over the reference picture and the canvas you uses to draw, then using the grids to guide with the placement of your drawing.

In ancient times, many of the artists considered the use of the grid method for drawing as a secret. Leonardo da Vinci was just one of the many artists of his time.

* MERITS.

Enchance self confidence.

The grid drawing, enchance the self confidence.when ever we started to study something, the confidence we gain at the beginning, which will motivate us to study beyond limits. Grid drawing is a best method for the beginners and even the one who don't have a skill can even draw the better portraits and landscapes.

The good artistic skills, develops only by practice. But by using grid method ,the one can develop his/her skills gradually.

Effective hyper-realistic artworks.

By using grid method,we are abel to draw a realistic pictures or some what more detailed that the original or reference picture.
In free- hand drawing we consider the whole picture for the drawing.  But if we are using the grid method,we are using the grid method,we are considering ,each sequence boxes one-by-one.  Which enables us to observe each details in the particular reference in the boxes,. Which will turn our picture into a realistic one.

TIP:
IF you are a right-hander ,for finishing the art work, keep this order: top-left to bottom-right.

Yes of course, the grid drawing method improves your patience and observation skill.the basic thing, that needs for an artist is patience and a great observation skill.
If we are of enough patience,we can turn our art work in to a it's highest effort.
Observation and patience are 2 sides of a coin. How much the patience is important, that much the observation is important too.
The one who have a good observation skill can draw from his imagination.

You all have seen, the shutters, wall of shops and other buildings, painted with some landscapes or portraits.that doesn't mean that the artists used to paint that have a large reference picture as that of the shutters or walls.

The method used by them is the grid method.they may have a small reference picture, they put grids in that and when they used to draw it in the large canvas, they just enlarge or resize the grids and used to draw.

The main highlight of this grid method is,we can resize the reference picture as we required.

Even though, the grid drawing has this much benifits, artists does not support the grid method for drawings.

*DEMERITS.

Reduce flexibility of hands.

In grid drawing,we are just using our wrist joints movements for drawing. But in free hand drawing,we are using our 3 main joint movements ie,wrist, elbow, shoulder joints.which will make us more flexible.

Difficulty in real life drawing.

Suppose, you are getting a chance to draw by looking at a real reference object, that's in front of you.if you have practiced by grid method, then there you will face difficulty, because we can't put grids on the real life objects.

In grid drawing we are just considering,a normal view or a 2- Dimensional view of a reference object, where we only calculate the length and breadth.but in free hand drawing, you are able to draw the the normal, 2- Dimensional and also the 3- dimensional views.

Reduce memory power.

The grid drawing, reduces your memory power, suppose when we are drawing a portrait of men,we first take a look at him, then we sketch them, but the reference is a human being, they can change there pose with in no time.. which will be a great menace.but in free hand drawing..we first take a shot on them by our eyes and store them in Oru memory and even though if the one changes his pose ,the artists never mind, they just draw from there memory and imagination.

Disinterest to learn more.

When we are using the grid method,we may draw the exact one at the first attempt its self.then we will gain a confidence gradually turns to over confidence, which mislead them to think that ..they had studied every thing in the drawing, they no need to study further.but in free hand drawing,we gain more interest in learning more on drawings..how much we draw,we gain that much knowledge in drawing.

The only way to come back from grid-drawing to free hand drawing, just minimize the number of grids gradually.

Hope you all have liked it.stay tune for new contents.

Stay creative;explore more.

THINGS TO AVOID IN SOME

COUNTRIES

-BEN JOSE

HI,WELCOME TO ANOTHER BLOG OF AURORIANS.TODAY , WE WILL BE DISCUSSING THINGS TO AVOID DOING IN SOME COUNTRIES,IT'S NOT ILLEGAL BUT DUE TO THE CULTURAL AND SOCIAL DIVERSITIES PREVAILING THERE.

1.CHINA

Don't eat everything on your plate in China

In China, polite guests don't eat every last morsel of food left on their plates. Doing so signals the host that he or she didn't provide enough food or a filling meal. Along with leaving a little, it's fine to burp after eating, as a compliment to the chef.

2.RUSSIA

Don't smile at strangers in Russia

Remember those old song lyrics, "Smile, and the word smiles with you"? That's not necessarily the case when travelling in Russia. Russians see smiling as an intimate gesture, indicating a genuine affinity toward another person. If you smile at a stranger, they might consider you insincere.

3.GERMANY

Don't talk with your hands in your pockets in Germany

Planning a trip to Germany? Don't talk with your hands in your pockets while you're there, as it's considered rude. It's also customary to keep your hands on the table while eating, rather than resting them in your lap.

4.SINGAPORE

You can’t buy chewing gum in Singapore

Despite what’s claimed, it’s not illegal to chew chewing gum in Singapore, even after 1992. law passed which was designed to counter the amount of chewing gum being dropped in public places, the treat was not altogether outlawed. Instead, buying and selling. it is illegal and punishable with a fine of up to $1,000.

5.TIBET

No reincarnation in Tibet

Ever since the administration of Tibet was taken over by the People’s Republic of China, they’ve enforced a very strange law. In the home of the Dalai Lama, it’s illegal for people to be reincarnated without permission. The State Religious Affairs Bureau order number-five was passed in 2007 in order to manage and control the reincarnation of living Buddhas. While over 1,000 people have since been reincarnated officially, the government has used this to invalidate the claims of countless who have died and come back without first getting approval.

6.MALAYSIA

Don’t touch people’s heads in Malaysia

We found many amazing things which we should never do in other countries. Malaysia is the melting pot of Southeast Asia, a place where cultures, languages, and religions all mix together. although the different kinds of people, there are some general customs you will need to observe when there. Firstly, you should avoid touching people’s heads as it is considered the most sacred part of the body. Plus, it’s also kinda patronizing.

7.INDIA

Don’t use your left hand in India and don't kiss in public

You never think about what hand you use for what but in India you need to. Never pass Food, Money or shake with your left hand. It’s believed that our left hand is used for all things bathroom-related. Also kissing in public is considered as a embarissing act among indians.

8.PORTUGAL

 Don’t pee in the ocean

Hot competition for the hardest law to enforce, it’s not very polite to pee in a pool. But what about the ocean? Surely it’s the definition of a victimless crime. But nonetheless, Portugal has recently outlawed it. Which means any peoples caught short will have to come out and find a bathroom. I don’t envy the person who has to catch you doing this one.

TOP 5 MUST WATCH WEBSERIES

TOP 5 WEB SERIES

-BEN JOSE

(OTHER THAN G.O.T AND MONEY HEIST)

HI,WELCOME TO ANOTHER BLOG OF AURORIANS.TODAY,LET ME SUGGEST SOME WEBSERIES WHICH SEEMS TO BE ALL ROUND ENTERTAINERS,FROM MY OWN WEBSERIES EXPERIENCE AND MUST WATCH...

5.THE WITCHER

IMBD:8.3
ROTTEN TOMATOES:67%
I am going to be completely honest here...I have never played The Witcher game and i don't know anything about the book so i can't compare the web series with them..I started watching this only because of Henry Cavill and he nailed it with his acting. The role of Geralt is very skillfully played by him. The cinematography and the environment setups, sound all are fascinating and you will love the effort that the director has put in this series. I will not say much as i don't want to give any spoiler, you will love watching it..Only one thing, don't compare it with game of thrones, then you will surely love it so much that you can't wait to see what's happening in season 2....

I would give it a 4.5 star rating, and yes this is definitely recommended... It is one of the best Netflix Series ever made...So what are you waiting for, just Netflix and chill....

STORY PLOT:

Geralt of Rivia, a brooding professional monster hunter for hire also known as witcher, struggles to keep his humanity in a medieval dark fantasy world ruled by corrupt kings, queens and mages, where poverty, violence and intolerance are rampant, normal humans are sometimes worse than actual monsters and most jobs that pay well involve the darkest of human emotions and desires. Yennefer of Vengerberg is an ambitious mage who came from nothing and wants everything. Princess Cirilla or Ciri is a young girl who may or may not possess some great mysterious power within her. Their destinies, seemingly quite different, slowly intertwine in a rather cosmic fashion. Their companions include Jaskier the bard, Geralt's endearingly annoying friend and hype man vowed to spread the word of his heroics throughout the continent even if he has to embellish them a little for a few coins more, Tissaia de Vries, Yennefer's secretive mentor who believes in tough love, and Triss Merigold, a good-natured druidic mage and trustworthy friend. The Nilfgaardian Empire's sudden brutal invasion of the kingdom of Cintra ruled by Cirilla's protective grandmother, warrior queen Calanthe, puts their lives in great danger.

4. BLACK MIRROR

IMBD:8.8
ROTTEN TOMATOES:83%
Black Mirror is a great anthology series . This show tells us about the fear of technology and the scary predictions and forshadow in our future .Every Episode of this series is phenomely great , chilling and dramatic and depressing. It makes you even question everything going on in your life and what it would be in our future with too much of mass technology.I highly reccomend everyone  to watch the third episode from season 3 which the name is 'Shut up and Dance'. This episode is dark and realistic more than any black mirror episode . If you are new to the show and want to watch from the earliest seasons don't watch from the earliest because all the episode is not in order or connected to the previous episodes , it feels like watching a short horror film. but that's an opinion if you wanna watch from the modern start. Season 5 is the worst season ever in the whole series . That's a reminder.

STORY PLOT:
There are three episodes, each a bleak and dark story about how the modern, internet and technology filled world could plunge us into hell. The first, is one set in the present. A fictional princess is kidnapped by an unknown person and a video ransom is posted anonymously on YouTube saying that unless the (fictional) prime minister had sexual intercourse with a pig live broadcast on every British television channel in four days, she would be killed.

The next episode is one about a hopefully-far future, where everything is commercial and false, and everybody is trapped and must play games to make false money to spend on false objects. They feed out of fake food-dispensing machines, which gives out fake, packaged fruit. It is an entirely commercial world, and there appears to be no outside.
The third is a dark 'love' story set in the near-future about how wrong it could be if people could re-watch their memories and show others. People seem to be forced to have small chips implanted behind their ears so their vision is being recorded and can be played back on any screen using a small tool and a super-fast, Wi Fi that is everywhere. It's idea is that people could become obsessed with the past and search their memories for tiny details, eventually causing insanity and a bad ending.

3.FLAMES

IMBD:9.2
ROTTEN TOMATOES:80%
This is more than a television series. I was getting in flow with this . I used to express all emotions while watching this series. I cried , i laughed, get sad sometimes .i just love this series. And the explanation in terms of chemistry i just loved it.Science student can relate it better . So in short "This was just amazing and u ppl dont left any stones unturned.

STORY PLOT:
The web-series is the story of a young romance unfolding as a chemical reaction. Class topper Rajat falls for Ishita, the new girl in the chemistry tuition. Rajat's BFFs, Pandey and Anusha's friendship is beginning to turn into a relationship. The equation of friendship evolves in the first season of this teenage romance. FLAMES features Ritwik Sahore, Sunakshi Grover, Tanya Manaktala, and Shivam Kakkar. FLAMES #PadhaiAurPyaar shows moments from teenage that will remain with the viewers for years - the first crush, childhood friends, your first kiss. Written by Kunal Aneja and Jasdeep Singh, FLAMES #PadhaiAurPyaar takes the viewers to the time when everything seemed to be innocent - the idea of spending time with their crush meant helping them finish homework. These were the rosy teenage days when finding love and topping exams were the only aims in life. The Timeliners, part of the TVF network, partnered with Hike to bring alive this tuition romance.

2.DARK

IMBD:9.1
ROTTEN TOMATOES:95%
I started watching this yesterday and have seen quite a fair bit. Over the past two days all I can say is that this show is absolutely worth watching. The original is in German, as it is a sci-fi thriller, but it has ben dubbed into English which after a while, you forget about as the story is compelling, brilliant and has a really good plot. While I connected some of the dots early on, there were a lot of things that went unanswered like 'why they did it' and this has kept me hooked as the story doesn't exactly let you guess everything. For me that is good storytelling, as I hate predicable story lines and situations I can read from the onset, but there are one or two characters you just can't get a read on. It's best to watch it and see for yourself.

STORY PLOT:

The first German production from the world's leading Internet TV Network is set in a German town in present day where the disappearance of two young children exposes the double lives and fractured relationships among four families. In ten hour-long episodes, the story takes on a surprising twist that ties back to the same town in 1986.

1.BREAKING BAD

IMBD:9.5
ROTTEN TOMATOES:96%
I just saw the last episode of this series.I was greatly moved by the real intention and value of family put in this series.
What Walter did was extremely extraordinary for his family .Till the end he only worried how to get his money to his family.
But one lesson which can be accomplished from this series is that money cannot at all buy the live and comfort which one desires,so getting millions is of no use until it’s got the right way so one has no fear of making it worth.
Huge amount of lessons given in this series and it’s a must watch series for sure!!!

STORY PLOY:

When chemistry teacher Walter White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given only two years to live, he decides he has nothing to lose. He lives with his teenage son, who has cerebral palsy, and his wife, in New Mexico. Determined to ensure that his family will have a secure future, Walt embarks on a career of drugs and crime. He proves to be remarkably proficient in this new world as he begins manufacturing and selling methamphetamine with one of his former students. The series tracks the impacts of a fatal diagnosis on a regular, hard working man, and explores how a fatal diagnosis affects his morality and transforms him into a major player of the drug trade.
