WTF LAWS IN WORLD

WTF LAWS IN WORLD

-BEN JOSE

HI,IT'S ME BEN JOSE AND WELCOME TO ANOTHER BLOG TO AURORIANS.
IN THIS BLOG WE WILL BE DISCUSSING SO STRANGE AND WEIRD LAWS THAT PREVAIL IN SOME COUNTRIES ...

1.SUICIDE IS ILLEGAL,UNTIL ITS SUCCESSFUL(INDIA)

In a blatant undermining of the basic ideals of democracy, Section 309 of the Penal Code makes sure you are punished if you don’t do suicide right. The law states that a successful suicide is legal, but failure to succeed might land you in jail. This is based on the notion that if the person dies, the matter dies with him/her. But, should they survive, they stand answerable and punishable for their action.

2.MAN>WOMAN?(IRAN)

In Iran, laws are not based on philosophical beliefs but instead are structured around Shariah or Islamic Law. Because of this, there are many laws that have been put in place that make Iran an extremely patriarchal society. The country is very conservative and women, in particular, must adhere to a somewhat strict dress code. For example, women must wear hijabs at all times to cover their hair, skinny jeans are forbidden, and coats or tunics are expected to cover your rear end.

3.AIRCRAFT ACT,1934(INDIA)

The law defines an aircraft as "any machine which can derive support in the atmosphere from reactions of the air". So it includes "balloons, whether fixed or free, airships, kites, gliders and flying machines"
It also says only the government can make rules regarding "possession, use, operation, sale, import or export of any aircraft or class of aircraft".
By this logic, it would be illegal to fly kites and balloons without government clearance in India.

4.GOVT. PROMOTING ILLITERACY(EQUATORIAL GUINEA)

In Equatorial Guinea, the government publicly discourages the people from learning to read or write. They do this in order to the public from learning as little as possible about the rest of the world and better opportunities. There are no bookstores or newsstands and very rarely are tourists ever allowed into the country. When they are, they are under constant watch by the government and are forbidden to document the poverty of the country. Even though the government owns the television and radio stations, it makes no difference because the people of the country are so poor that nobody can afford either even if they wanted.

5.ANY 4 WITNESS?(PAKISTAN)

Before the Protection of Women Act in 2006, if you’d been raped you needed to produce four eye-witnesses in order to be proven as a victim.

Yes, until FOUR adults saw you getting raped, you are a  liar. The Protection of Women (Criminal Laws Amendment) Act 2006 has tried to override this law by introducing an element of DNA evidence being admitted during rape cases but the issue remains controversial owing to varying interpretations.
the law before 1979 declared that rape in marriage is not considered as rape if the wife is over thirteen years of age. The major difference between the two laws is that the Islamic law has changed the punishment of imprisonment and fine (ten years' imprisonment and fine) into the punishment of whipping and stoning to death. The major difference concerned the evidence about the offence of rape. . The court must be satisfied that the witnesses are truthful and abstain from major sins. Moreover, only Muslim male witnesses are accepted which was not the case before 1979.
